Pakatan Harapan has agreed that Dr Mahathir is just the interim prime minister and the main requirement is that he needs to lead Anwar’s release from jail and later handed his post to the latter. The issue that befuddled Malaysians is whether anyone heard that Dr Mahathir is willing to give up his post and hand over to Anwar after his release or as usual, Dr Mahathir with his cunning ploy, he will continue his Mahathirism until the end?

This is also of concern to the people of Sabah and Sarawak as the 22-years when Dr Mahathir was the Prime Minister of Malaysia, both states in the Borneo Island were marginalised that all their rights were restricted either in terms of development nor freedom to govern. Hence it ought not to be repeated.

Sabah has a history of their own when to this day, they will not be able to forgive Dr Mahathir with the ‘Project IC’. Despite the Royal Commission of Inquiry on Project IC, Dr Mahathir openly admitted responsibly yet he was even proud of it. The long-awaited RCI on Sabah ‘Project IC” began its hearing only in January 2013, an alleged plot during Dr Mahathir’s premiership to grant identity cards to hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants with the condition that they will cast their votes to BN.

Despite DAP and PKR GE13 campaign promises to Malaysians that they will ensure to bring Mahathir to justice for his 22 years of abuses and corruption, within next 24 hours after Putrajaya is captured, it is thus very amusing to select him as their Prime Minister even though it is for a temporary period. In a way, the Pakatan coalition not only fooled the rakyat, this shows that Mahathirism is well and alive brought back by Pakatan Harapan.

Today, Dr Mahathir and Pakatan Harapan leaders acted as if he was never the Prime Minister before. Unless Mahathir could put on record how much allocation he has approved for Sabah and Sarawak while power for 22 years, he still owes an apology to these two Borneo states. In fact, many of the MPs disclosed that their letters to Dr Mahathir requesting for development were never replied.

Mahathir had never acknowledged the special positions of Sabah and Sarawak before but today he wishes to review the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) and renegotiate with Sabah and Sarawak a deal that should be fair to all parties.

The fact is, it is a lie and perhaps Dr Mahathir didn’t even read the contents. Should MA63 is revised, this could dangerously get close to not recognising the formation of Malaysia and all matters to safeguard the special interests of Sabah and Sarawak such as religious freedom, education, representation in the federal parliament, the position of the indigenous races, control of immigration, citizenship and the state constitutions will be dissolved by Mahathir and Pakatan Harapan.

Hence, no one in Sabah or Sarawak, in their right mind would be interested to renegotiate a new deal with Dr Mahathir or Pakatan Harapan as most local leaders are keen and determined to protect their special rights. It is just the Pakatan Harapan’s propaganda to say Sabah and Sarawak had been downgraded just because the two states were not at the top of the list of names for the states in Malaysia. Is Dr Mahathir and Pakatan Harapan making excuses to remove the special rights of Sabah and Sarawak?

Thanks to Pakatan Harapan for creating a stunning political circus when they have selected a 92-year-old “retired prime minister” as their prime minister who was once regarded as the most corrupt and draconian leader in our political history. All Sabah and Sarawak needed is unity and peace among their multi-ethnic society and more development projects but not taking them in the rural areas for granted.

How on earth would anyone accept a person whom the opposition leaders themselves regarded as the root cause of all Malaysia’s problems? Not only that Pakatan Harapan is basically the coalition of utter hopelessness, bringing back Mahathirism is certainly a nightmare not only to Sabah and Sarawak but to all Malaysians. It certainly is inconceivable.
