PPBM President and former UMNO Deputy President Muhyiddin Yassin claimed that UMNO is too intimidated that PM Najib Razak had to offer rosy goodies in the 2018 Budget thus attempting to convince that Malay voters are as though beginning to sway from UMNO and choose his new political party.
How far can Muhyiddin amuse himself and are the Malay society easily fooled by his claims? Since PPBM is still seen even among the opposition supporters as a racist party for restricting to Malay and Bumiputera members only, Muhyiddin’s presence actually remains unwelcomed as he has shown his consistency to be Malay first.
Should Muhyiddin evaluated that Pakatan Rakyat had previously gained popular votes from Chinese and Indian voters, he has deliberately hidden the fact that without PAS, the numbers are unlikely to be achieved.
In addition, despite the total votes from Chinese and Indians for the opposition parties, it still will not be able to defeat Barisan Nasional to seize Putrajaya, but what actually happened was that DAP has proven to dominate the opposition bloc with the most parliamentary seats in the two previous general elections.
With just one parliamentary seat from PPBM, either Dr Mahathir or Muhyiddin, are they able to be in control of DAP in Pakatan Harapan?
Those are the few realities that are too bitter to be swallowed by Muhyiddin but they are crystal to Malay voters, hence it is not workable if Muhyiddin still believes that his new party is well accepted even by the opposition supporters and what more the Malays.
Muhyiddin and Dr Mahathir have set up their new political party not because of principles to save Malaysia but was driven by vengeance and mortification that only a handful of UMNO leaders and grassroots members have left this largest Malay political party to join them.
They have failed to convince PAS too to join efforts to race against BN. Therefore, Muhyiddin left with no choice but to join effort with their archenemies from DAP and PKR.
PAS too is firm in their stance to sever ties with anyone who collaborates with DAP, not only for the hudud law excuses but they very well knew DAP’s socialist policy as interpreted in their Malaysian Malaysia to go against Islam and the Malay rights.
What is certain, not only DAP is dominant in the opposition block, every decision from either Pakatan Rakyat or Pakatan Harapan will need the blessing from them. The Malays are never afraid of anyone in DAP but they are very aware of what DAP is capable of doing when they are in power.
Look no further to what had happened during Perak under DAP controlled state. No doubt the state’s constitution will instate a Malay as their Chief Minister but during the reign of Pakatan Rakyat, he was just the puppet to DAP.
The fact is, Muhyiddin deliberately dismissed to acknowledge that what DAP had done to Penang and even within their own party to sideline any other races besides the chauvinists Chinese, those are the Malays yardstick and they are evident.
Therefore, for how long Muhyiddin need to fool himself and rest assured that the Malays are more discerning to wager their rights and position of Islam and the Malays to DAP and as well as their puppets such as Muhyiddin and Dr Mahathir.
