ARE TAXPAYERS MONEY INVOLVED FOR PENANG TO GRAB THE BOGUS EBA AWARDS?

Share This:

The main question that the people need to know, especially Penangites, is how the Penang government under the leadership of Lim Guan Eng and DAP who without fail lauded their principles of Credibility, Accountability and Transparent, not knowing that the awards received from the European Business Assembly (EBA) are traded? Furthermore, if these awards are bought, who is paying them and does it involves taxpayers money?

Had Guang Ming Daily did not reveal that the EBA is a Europe-based organization that sought profit by selling awards to anyone including government organizations and businesses that are willing to pay for them, will Guan Eng and DAP continually fool the people?

On March 26, 2013, Penang Municipal Councilor Dato Patahiyah Ismail received the “Best Municipal Manager” award while the MPPP received the “Best Municipality Award” from the European Business Assembly (EBA) in a ceremony held on 1 and 2 July 2013 in Montreux, Switzerland. In fact, on July 8, 2013 Lim Guan Eng in a statement after the MPPP Council swearing-in ceremony was bragging about the award.

Later on July 2, 2014, the Seberang Perai Municipal Council (MPSP) and its Chief, Dato Maimunah Mohd Sharif had also won awards EBA and information about the recognition are published on the Seberang Perai Municipal Council website.

It is true that when we search on the Internet, a wide range of controversial news is exposed that the organization is discredited and ridiculed by the world. In that case, what is presumably the reason that Guan Eng and his exco will give? Are they that negligent until they are easily conned by EBA or was it done deliberately?

Or perhaps Guan Eng and DAP Penang are too desperate for praise and recognition that they are driven to buy international awards? Who does not know that DAP is currently experiencing a confidence deficit not only of Malaysians but this Chinese dominant party is also undergoing upheaval in its party due to some issues affecting their Secretary-General Guan Eng’s credibility to lead Penang.

It is not an offence in terms of the law to receive awards or recognition from any international body but in the event of the awards bought with taxpayers money, the MACC or any relevant authorities need to investigate and act decisively.

Guan Ming Daily is said to be among ‘a pain in the arse’ media reportings to Guan Eng’s administration when now not only he would criticise these Chinese medias openly, some had to face his law suit. The very reason for Guan Eng’s displeasure is when he is not praised enough.

Imagine, even awards and recognitions can be easily manipulated by Guan Eng and DAP to cheat, not to mention other things that Guan Eng and DAP Penang are capable of fooling us. Worst still when it is said that Guan Eng, MPPP and MPSP had fled to avoid dealing with the journalist from any comment. Why?

Is this the real practice of Guan Eng and DAP Penang’s ‘CAT’ that they are so inclined to ‘pay money’ to get the awards and recognition from a bogus organization? Remember that those who wear a mask of lies are those who will definitely look attractive. Be careful!
